Newsletter of Kazakhstan Regional Development project, Issue #1(4)
On behalf of the Project Team, I am pleased to offer you the fourth issue of the Newsletter of the EU-funded project Kazakhstan Regional Development. In this issue we would like to share with you the results of the Project work achieved in August 2014 – January 2015.
One of the key characteristics of the Kazakhstan Regional Development project is its flexibility and ability to adapt to the most relevant needs of its Beneficiaries. This has become particularly important today when the Government of Kazakhstan, as well as many other countries, is facing the need to react quickly and efficiently to new challenges and external risks. Thus, the Government of Kazakhstan developed a new state development programme Nurly Zhol. The implementation of this programme requires active involvement of central and regional authorities and critical review of current national strategies and programmes.
The goal of the Project today and in future is to support our Beneficiaries in successful implementation of the President’s directives to ensure sustainability and prosperity of Kazakhstan.Olga Broderick, Team Leader and Regional Development Policy Expert
